Females Achieving Brilliance Scotland is the excellence network for women who administer sport in Scotland.
FAB Scotland’s aim is to support women working in Scotland to further develop their confidence and competence so that they become great leaders through an annual programme of networking events and personal development sessions.
The network is aimed at women in key leadership or governance positions in sports administration such as CEOs, Company Directors, Management Committee members, non-executive Board members and Senior Managers with a national or regional remit or those women who have an ambition to develop into one of these positions in the future.
FAB is delighted to have a partnership arrangement with sportscotland; a major FAB event in Scotland attracted over 80 influential women working in sport. Chair of sportscotland, Louise Martin, commented: “There are many women involved in FAB with varied and compelling success stories and by sharing their experiences they can help others realise their ambitions, I would love to see more women on our boards and leading our sports but I won’t advocate positive discrimination or appointing women as a numbers game, let’s use the potential that the FAB network offers to provide support and development opportunities.”
Also speaking was arctic explorer and businesswoman Louise Scott and sports development officer Fiona Campbell whose charity Umutima unlocks the potential of young people in Africa through sport and education. There were some great questions from the floor and lively debate about some of the key issues facing women in sport in Scotland.
Feedback from the women involved to date with FAB in Scotland said they would welcome:

The network in Scotland is currently coordinated by Jacqui Stone:
